My Show and Musical Oscars (by Robert)

Hello and welcome to my show, Robert's Oscars with me, your host, Robert. If you like songs, comedy, fun and more, then these are the shows you want to go to.

At number one, we have the show with the most laughs. Our first award goes to
Potted Potter
Potted Potter is all the Harry Potter books in 60 minutes. It is very funny and you join in too. To find out more, read Jessie's review of the show, Potted Potter
Now the most emotional show ever. Some people have seen this eight times or more, the amazing
 Wicked

This wicked show is what happened before the Wizard Of Oz. In the show, you see how the Tin Man lost his heart, how the Wizard was bad and how the Scarecrow came to be. The story was so sad that I was crying by the end. It has great songs and music, like Defying Gravity and Popular.

Monsters University Top Trumps

Everyone likes Top Trumps and every one likes Monsters university - now there is a game which combines them both. Each card shows a new monster. The information includes if they are a teacher or what team they belonged to in the scare games. You can be as big as Sulley and be 10 out of ten in size or you could be 1 out of ten like Sully's pet pig, Archie. Only one or two kids or teachers get 100 out of 100 in the IQ test and that's why you want to get those cards. You can also use a monster's amount of eyes, popularity and of course scariness. I think it is a really enjoyable game for all the family, but don't try to get Mike Wazowski - he is a rubbish card!

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (by Robert)

Cast : Logan Lerman  (Percy Jackson);   Brandon T. Jackson  (Grover Underwood);
Alexandra Daddario (Anabbeth Chase); Jake Abel  (Luke Castellan); Douglas Smith (Tyson)

Director : Thor Freudenthal

Synopsis : Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters is a great way of bringing back the excitement and laughs into a much better film than the first in the series (Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief). In the latest film a prophesy says that a child of Zeus, Poseidon or Hades will either destroy or save half-bloods. And after the barrier which protects the half-bloods is broken, Percy, Grover and Annabeth are going on another adventure of a lifetime.

Theatre Tribe - fun at home this summer!

Me, Robert and Emma, who runs Theatre Tribe. Robert is being dramatic!
Many of our friends have spent their time this summer holiday abroad, relaxing in swim-suits by the sea. However, I  went to a drama camp last week in the “cold, miserable” UK and I think I had a better week than they did!

Theatre Tribe is a musical theatre camp which involves auditioning for and rehearsing a show, which you perform to your parents at the end of the week. My brother and I took part in Ma.Til.Da, a twist on the award-winning musical Matilda and we had an amazing time.
I was very pleased to be cast as Miss Honey, and as soon as we received our scripts we immediately started practising. We spent lots of time choreographing dance routines, going over lines and perfecting our singing.

Although every day was full-on and jam-packed with exciting things to do, the worst part of the week were our warm ups. They were extremely long, tiring and difficult, including sit ups, push ups, squats, star jumps and impossibly hard stretches. No one liked them very much.

Despicable me 2

.

Despicable Me 2 is a hilarious film which carries on the clever story from the first film. I liked how they mentioned the first film and they brought in lots of new characters who all had a totally different personality.

My favourite characters were the minions. Even though they were not in it a lot, when they were, they were funny, cute and clumsy. I would recommend this film to every child and early teenagers but I would say to watch the first film before you watch the second one.

Potted Potter

Potted Potter is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen in my entire life. It is hilariously mad and crazy and it has all seven books in seventy minutes, plus a game of Quidditch!

In this show Jeff, who is the sane and serious expert who plays Harry Potter, performs with Dan, the comical and slightly weird person who plays all the other characters. There is a cupboard to take them to Narnia, a chocolate cake incident, a child who bodyslams Jeff and an adapted version of "I Will Survive" sung by Voldermort. I have never laughed so hard EVER!

Disney World: Animal Kingdom Lodge

I'm sorry that I haven't posted much at the moment, it's because I have just been on the best holiday ever to Orlando in America! I'd never been to America before so the trip was super special for me and Robbie (my brother). For part of our holiday we stayed at The Animal Kingdom Lodge and we certainly weren't disappointed. I've decided to review this hotel and tell the world how fabulous it is so everyone else can enjoy the fantastic experience too...

Temple Run 2

Temple Run 2 is the exciting sequel to Temple Run which you can get from the apple apps store. We got this game on Friday and have been hooked since! The concept is the same as Temple Run - escape from the fearsome monsters with the precious idol. However, this time there are better graphics, fiercer monsters and harder obstacles. There are also zip-wires and go carts.

London Ludo

Hi everyone!
Today I'm reviewing a game with my friend Jonah. For more details, please click here.
The aim of London Ludo is to travel around the board in an iconic London black cab, visiting all of London's famous landmarks as you go. Watch out out for the other players: if they catch you you'll be sent back to the start!

Wordsearch!

Wordsearch! The Multiplayer Word Search Game
Although the concept may sound dreary, Wordsearch is one of the most entertaining and exciting games I know of. More details are on the American Amazon
The game works by putting a word-search onto a circular grid, placing a transparent frame over it and securing it in place with a green circle. To play, you have to find a word and the first person to do so puts their colour counters over it. At the end, the player with the most counters wins. Surprisingly, this game is very competitive and very hard. There are many themes for the game, ranging from countries to colours and none of them take a few minutes to complete!

Bananagrams!

This post is all about the brilliant Bananagrams game! Go to the website here. The object of banana grams is to be the first to complete a mini crossword- all by yourself!

Everyone takes 21 counters and once you have used all of them up, everyone takes another, and another and another until there are no tiles left.

One Drum - African Drumming Workshops For Schools

Hello everyone. I'm sorry that I couldn't post for a while - exams and all that boring school stuff! However, I hope I'll be able to post more frequently now.
This week was AFRICAN WEEK in my school, and we had a variety of workshops each day. Most lessons were African-based and it was really great fun. On Tuesday we had African dancing, while on Wednesday it was African singing for the first half of the afternoon (although we then had to return to our classrooms for some RE, which was not quite as interesting). During lunchtime on Thursday and Friday I was lucky enough to be selected to make African masks to go on display, while Friday morning included my favourite thing of all - African Drumming!

The Victoria And Albert Museum!

Recently, I visited the Victoria and Albert museum in London. I had an amazing time and if you want to find out more, I have linked to the website here. First, we (my grandma, Robbie and I ) visited the Imagination/Creation Station - I cannot remember exactly what it's called- and we were given materials and told to design a boat. They gave us pictures and references of rooms that had boats in for inspiration, and there were instructions on how to create a paper boat. We were equipped with fancy paper, coloured paper, scissors, pencils, a lolly stick and sellotape. It was great fun.

Amy's Kitchen: Spinach Lasagna

I love Amy's Kitchen. The food is yummy and appealing, plus everything is organic. So far, I have tried the macaroni cheese and the Spinach Lasagna. The macaroni cheese is lovely; bite-sized bits of pasta in a smooth, silky cheese sauce. However, I prefer to focus on the lasagna. Resting in an flavour-full Italian style sauce, there lie long pieces of bumpy pasta that melt in your mouth. Sandwiched in between is a smooth, delicious mixture of spinach that I'm sure is appealing to everyone - even though it is a vegetable!

Puffin Post!

Puffin Post is one of the best magazines I have ever come across. Puffin Post is for children aged 9 or older, and Puffin Post For Pufflings is for 7-9 year olds. Both magazines are about books and puffins, and every issue is fun and enjoyable. The Puffin Post website is here. There are six issues of Puffin Post a year, and each one has a selection of books. You can choose one and they will send it to you!

My new slippers!

Hello everyone,
Summer has ended and winter is soon to come! Yesterday, I realised that my old slippers are WAY too small for me, so when I went with my grandma to get some presents for people, I was allowed to get something. It was a hard decision, but I decided to get slippers. They look like the ones in the picture, but are striped and are purple, grey and black. They are called Totes Isotoner Pillowsteps and they are absolutely lovely!

My cousin blogged about it, and now I use it for my name at the end of each post, or just for fun. Picgifs has millions of different things to choose from. Here are some...

Horrible Histories Barmy Britain Show

Both me and my brother are die hard Horrible Histories fans and we were really excited to see Barmy Britain. We sat down into our seats, jumped back up again for half a dozen people, and settled down to enjoy the show.
